Emma was born in Santander, in the North of Spain, but has lived in the UK since 2002. She has a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Modern Foreign Languages) and a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
She has many years experience working in schools and teaching Spanish to students of all ages and abilities. Â This includes Primary and Secondary students, students with special educational needs and adults.
Many of her students come with pre-conceptions about what learning a language is like. Â Some might have had several unsuccessful attempts at learning Spanish years ago in a school which might have left them believing that learning a language is difficult or that they were not good enough. Â Some think they have reached an age at which learning a language is not a possibility any more. Â Some students learn Spanish because they want to achieve a qualification whereas others simply do it as a hobby. Â Regardless of their background and personal circumstances, ALL students make progress and get satisfaction from their learning.
